If milk and honey are seen as nectars of abundance bestowed upon Earth by the gods, then a jar of the luxuriously tasty and medicinal Royal Ghee is surely a deliciously divine gift.
A few months ago at the Mercado Sagrado festival, I came upon a table of Royal Ghee products created and sold by women’s health specialist and holistic nutritionist Alle Weil. I had become familiar with the product by way of social media but never encountered it in person.
Naturally, I was overjoyed because there were samples and there was zero chance that I was going to turn down a taste of anything made with raw honey and royal in its name. With one spoonful I was sold.
Ghee or clarified butter is derived from rendering liquid milk into fat solids. It’s culinary and medicinal popularity is rooted within thousands of years of Indian Ayurvedic tradition.
It’s an indispensable ingredient for creating rich buttery recipes with a sweet and nutty finish. As a pantry staple, every few months, I purchase a 5-gallon jar of Ghee from my local Indian Grocery.
As Alle continued to guide me through her range of Royal Ghee products and thoughtful recipe pairings, we realized our shared philosophies on food, approach to holistic medicine and love of kundalini yoga.
Without a doubt, Royal Ghee is a must try and must buy product. Royal Ghee is a proprietary blend of Ghee, Raw Honey, Greens, Algae, Roots, Berries, Fruit, Mushrooms and Salt. Royal Ghee Gold is a blend featuring more of those adaptogenic herbs along with Turmeric. Both are formulated to boost immunity, energy, increase detoxification and enhance that natural glow from the inside out.
Alle suggests we use Royal Ghee just as we would any spread on toast or by adding a dollop into our tea or coffee.
